AirIoT monitors CO2, temperature, humidity, total volatile organic compounds (TVOC) and particulate matter (PM). This is accomplished with wireless sensors using IoT network technologies, and a cloudbased IoT platform “WebIoT”.
Challenge or problem:
Measuring and analyzing visitor behavior provides many opportunities and advantages. For example, it enables resources such as staff and equipment to be used in a more efficient and cost-effective manner. In pandemic times, smart solutions to limit the number of customers in stores can be set up. Gathering visitor behavior data not only helps to better understand customers but can also be used to provide an improved customer experience. By publishing current and historical attendance information for the premises online, customers can plan and make informed decisions on when to visit the premises.
Solution:
Monitoring CO2 , temperature, humidity, TVOC, PM, and helping to minimize the air spread of COVID-19.
Result:
Indoor Climate and Air Quality Control When placing sensors properly indoors, away from windows and at proper height, the sensors can be used to measure CO2 , temperature, and humidity as part of a climate control solution. By monitoring several apartments, information on the overall climate in a building is provided. Costly service calls from complaining residents can be avoided by continuously monitoring the indoor temperature in apartments and adjusting the heat distribution for optimal comfort. By measuring and detecting hazardous VOC and PM levels, human exposure to pollutants that have both short- and long-term effects on health can be acted upon and avoided. The solution also help to minimize the spread of COVID-19 CO2 levels. Providing a status of the air quality inside buildings and rooms, since CO2 is part of the air that humans breathe out. In indoor spaces that are crowded and poorly ventilated, CO2 levels typically rise over time. This indicates that one person is to some extent inhaling the air that another person has exhaled, which results in an increased risk of COVID-19 spread.
Platform(s) Included in IoT Solution:
WebIoT made by IoT, for more information see IOT PLATFORMS.
Device(s) Included in IoT Solution:
The AirIoT solution is independent of sensor supplier and technology. The sensors measure CO2, , temperature, humidity, and optionally total volatile organic compounds (TVOCs) and particulate matter (PM) . Iioote recommends several different sensors, if needed. If an already installed sensor is preferred for use, iioote can include that sensor in the solution.
