Placing sensors on desks in an open and flexible office space can clarify how often the desks are used. Spatial meeting room and desk usage patterns can be identified, which allows for space efficiency optimization and potential improvements in the office layout. By placing sensors will enable monitoring of peak occupancy trends and usage frequency to be identified. This information can be used to optimize staff resource allocation and predict the need for cleaning, refill of supplies and accessories within that space. The sensors can be placed in restricted access locations. When presence is detected, WebIoT can generate and send an alarm.
