DL-ITST | Infrared Thermometer / Surface Temperature Sensor
The infrared thermometer (pyrometer) allows remote surface temperature measurements. The sensor measures the thermal energy radiated by the target. The measuring area on the target is a round spot whose diameter depends on the distance between target and sensor lens:
Distance:
100 mm 400 mm 1000 mm 2000 mm 5000 mm
Measuring spot diameter:
11.6 mm
26.7 mm
76.5 mm
160 mm
409 mm
The relation between distance and measuring spot diameter is expressed by the optical resolution of 15:1. In order to get correct temperature measurements, the target area must always be larger than the measuring spot.
Sensor data are transmitted in real-time using LoRaWAN® radio technology. LoRaWAN® enables encrypted radio transmissions over long distances while consuming very little power. The user can obtain sensor data through Decentlab’s data storage and visualization system, or through the user's own infrastructure.
