In Dubai, there was the challenge of needing a high-pressure operation, high density, not being able to lay cables, and no existing LoRaWAN coverage to be able to deliver cold water for HVAC to more than 200,000 apartments.
On average 7,000 manual valve Open/Close were done at the time of the installation.

High density of Smart-Valves to install (some buildings have more than 1000+ tenants !)
Poor or no existing LoRaWAN Operator coverage
10-15 years autonomy required in order to change the batteries at the same time they change these for the BTU meters
High pressure operation (15-20 Bars) requires high energy to operate the valves
